8 Sep 2013, 14:34. With all my walking companions of the last two days now dispersed, I increasingly turned my photography more toward the “scenic” rather than the “social” aspects of the Camino Francés. An example of such is this view of the medieval bridge that carries the Camino over the rio Ulzama at Villava. Although pilgrims are apparent on the bridge, they’re distant and impersonal. At the far end of the bridge is the Albergue Hermanos Maristas, located where pilgrim lodging has stood since the 11th century. |
