17 Sep 2013, 08:53. Pilgrims Maria and Ramon walk though Viloria de Rioja (Spain) on the Camino Francés. Notice the Camino “marking” (which I distinguish from signage) typical of that found along the entire Camino, but mostly absent on the Via Francigena when I walked much of the Italian portion in 2016. Such markings (in contrast to signs at turning points) are important for assuring a pilgrim of still being on the correct route. |
