An unusual design feature of the Catedral de Santa María de Regla de León (Spain) is the location of the choir and organ west of the crossing (i.e., in the direction of the narthex). More usually they are located farther east in the western part of the chancel. Note the 19th-century cross beams that were installed to prevent the cathedral from collapsing. |
