The plant-based (vegan) dinner provided for Camino pilgrims at Albergue Verde (Hospital de Órbigo) was exceptional in its quality and diversity (compared to most of my other meals along the Camino). The menu consisted of beet soup (topped with pesto sauce), whole wheat bread, vegetable green curry, and desert of chocolate walnut cake. Our hospitalero, Mincho, and his partner dined with the pilgrims. Here Mincho drinks tea at the meal’s conclusion. |
