13 Oct 2013, 14:46. Upon entering Cedro’s Restaurant (no longer in business) in Santiago de Compostela for a vegan lunch, I found there two fellow Camino pilgrims, Catholic priests from Canada, with whom I’d occasionally walked since my 4th day on the Camino as we’d headed toward Puente la Reina, but whom I hadn’t seen since one of them had provided me with bismuth subsalicylate tablets when I contracted gastroenteritis at Terradillos de Templarios on September 24th. The priests had nearly finished their meals at Cedro’s when I arrived and then had left while I was still eating. From my table inside the restaurant I took this photo of the priests standing across the street, presumably with another pilgrim. A clerk handing out free samples from A Cesta Tenda seems a bit discouraged—perhaps the recently falling rain had driven away potential customers.
