14 Sep 2013, 10:30. By coincidence a couple Camino pilgrims who’d become friends with Maria and Ramon were on the bus we’d taken for our one-day holiday in Bilbao. These pilgrims from Ireland, having finished their vacation, were going home with the expectation of a future-year return to complete more of the Ca­mi­no. Here Maria (at left) says goodbye to her friends at the Bilbao bus station.
