9 Sep 2013, 11:02. Pilgrims ascend Alto del Perdón (Mountains of Forgiveness) from the east, one of the best-known locations along the Camino Francés. The elevation rise from the base of approximately 290 m (950 feet) is an easy climb compared to the 1,280 m (4,199 feet) rise through the Pyrenees (seen far to the northeast [top left of photo] beyond Pamplona) three days earlier.
