22 Sep 2013, 13:38. Westerly view of the Camino Francés approximately 3.3 km (2 miles) west of Itero de la Vega. This was a day on which I had little interaction with fellow pilgrims. The walk was long and hot through endless fields of sunflowers and cut hay. At this point I’d already walked 23.7 km (14.7 miles) from the previous night’s lodging at Hontanas with about 5 km (3.1 miles) remaining to the day’s destination of Boadilla del Camino.
